Just got back from Coddle Creek ARP Church near Mooresville where they’ve had their 60th annual barbecue. I went around around 1:00 PM hoping to miss the crowd. Nope, plenty crowded even then. Now, I’m no expert, but I’ve eaten a ton (possibly near truth) of barbecue in my day. With that in mind, I must say that this was some of the best I’ve ever eaten- moist and cooked to perfection. I got a plate with slaw, applesauce, bread, piece of pound cake and a huge portion of barbecue. Wow, what a meal. Brought home two more pounds and a sandwich for my bride. If you missed it this year, you should make a note to yourself and say, “Self, I’ve got to go to that barbecue next year!”
