Stan Suther's Real Estate and Stuff

My neighbors, Steve and Margaret, are Rowan County, NC natives.  Last weekend we all piled into the Realtormobile and headed to one of the culinary jewels of China Grove and our area.  When you head toward Rowan County, you can expect to have many good choices for barbecue.  Those folks just know how to do it right.  But one of the absolute best is Gary’s Barbecue in China Grove.  Gary’s serves mouth-watering pork barbecue and awe-inspiring foot long hotdogs, plus lots of other good eats.  That is special enough, but what makes the trip EXTRA special is the fact that you can enjoy your ‘cue while ogling not one but two original Ford Thunderbirds, a ’56 and a ’57, enclosed in a display room just off the dining floor.  The whole restaurant is filled with nostalgic advertising signs of the 5o’s along with other memorabilia that are a kick for “baby boomers” like us.  I happened to watch a classic car auction last night on TV, and a black ’57 T-Bird went for $95,000.  You can understand why Gary keeps the door locked on his display room.  Here are a few photos:
